Mary Lynn Rajskub

Mary Lynn Rajskub (sometimes credited as Marylynn Rajskub) (pronounced “RICE-cub” or in IPA: [’raɪskʌb]) (b. June 22, 1971, Trenton, Michigan) is an American actress, artist, and comedian of Czech descent.

Born and raised in Trenton, Michigan, Rajskub later moved to Los Angeles where she became one of the original cast members of Mr. Show, and also had roles on The Larry Sanders Show, Shasta McNasty, and Veronica’s Closet.

In her time on Mr. Show, she was the real-life girlfriend of David Cross, leaving the show after the second season when they broke up.

She has since appeared in more dramatic roles, most notably her role as CTU tech analyst Chloe O’Brian on 24, which she joined in 2003 at the start of the show’s third season.

Her character was a hit with viewers and critics and was one of the few cast members to return in the show’s fourth season. After being a regular guest star for two seasons, Rajskub became a main cast member in the show’s fifth season. She is now lead female, with top billing second only to Kiefer Sutherland.

She also appeared in Kelsey Grammer’s The Sketch Show on Fox Television and numerous films including Serial Slayer (aka Claustrophobia), Mysterious Skin, Legally Blonde 2, Sweet Home Alabama, Dude, Where’s My Car?, Man on the Moon, Punch-Drunk Love, The Anniversary Party, Firewall, Little Miss Sunshine, Weezer’s music video for their song The Good Life, as well as portraying a blind girl in the film Road Trip.

She is also a skilled guitar player, and was part of a comic duo (with Karen Kilgariff) called Girls Guitar Club. In 2006, she made a cameo appearance in an episode of Gilmore Girls where she played a troubadour looking for her big break. (Rajskub had previously appeared on Gilmore Girls as the female lead in A Film by Kirk, a short film made by the character Kirk Gleason).

Rajskub has volunteered as an actor with the Young Storytellers Program. She has an educational backgound as a painter, having attended the San Francisco Art Institute.

Kiefer Sutherland

Kiefer SutherlandKiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland (born December 21, 1966 in London, England) is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Canadian television and film actor, best known for his role of Jack Bauer on the series 24. Sutherland also owns a recording studio and record label, called Ironworks.

As of 2006, Kiefer Sutherland has appeared in over fifty films, most notably “The Lost Boys”, “A Few Good Men”, “Flatliners”, “Young Guns”, “The Vanishing”, “Dark City”, and “A Time To Kill”. But since 2001, Sutherland is most widely associated with the role of Jack Bauer, on the critically acclaimed television series 24. After being nominated four times for the “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” Primetime Emmy Award, Sutherland finally won the award in 2006 for his role in 24′s fifth season. His father, Donald, was also an Emmy winner; he won an Emmy award for his role in Citizen X in 1996. In the opening skit of the 2006 Primetime Emmy Awards, Sutherland also made an appearance as his 24 character Jack Bauer. He was also nominated for Best actor in a Drama Television Series in the 2007 Golden Globe Awards for “24″.

In 2005, Sutherland was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame where both of his parents have also been inducted in Toronto. Also regarding his famous father, Sutherland was the first Inside the Actors Studio guest to be the child of a former guest; his father, Donald, appeared on the show in 1998.

Sutherland was featured on the cover of the April 2006 edition of Rolling Stone, in an article entitled “Alone in the Dark with Kiefer Sutherland”. The article opened up with Sutherland revealing his interest to be killed off in 24. However, he had also stated,”Don’t get me wrong. I love what I do.” It also revealed that he devotes 10 out of 12 months a year working on 24.[2]

He has starred in Japanese commercials for Calorie Mate,[3] performing a parody of his Jack Bauer character. Sutherland also provided voiceovers for the current ad campaign of Ford of Canada. They all happen to be of Comedy. In mid 2006, he voiced the Apple Computer advertisement announcing the inclusion of Intel chips in their Macintosh computer line.[4] He also voices the introduction to NHL games on the Versus network in the U.S.

24 Cast

The 24 cast has varied every season. The changes have ranged from small to almost the full cast. The only actors who appear in each of the six seasons are the main star, Kiefer Sutherland, and Glenn Morshower (Aaron Pierce, Special Agent with the United States Secret Service; a relatively minor character until Season Five).

The show has always had many guest stars not billed as main cast members, as well as Special Guest Stars from time to time. Special Guest Stars are usually former cast members making a return appearance, which can last from a single episode to almost an entire season, as do some guest stars. However, some special guest stars have been new characters usually played by well known film and television actors.
